What is a Board-Certified
Dermatologist?

A board-certified dermatologist is a medical physician who specializes in the hair, skin, nails and mucous membranes.

Becoming a board-certified dermatologist requires years of intense specialty training including: college (4 years), medical school (4 years), internship (1 year), dermatology residency (3 years), optional fellowship (1 year) and board certification by the American Board of Dermatology.

In total, this training amounts to 16,000+ hours of patient care training to ensure that a board-certified dermatologist can expertly diagnose and treat over 3,000 dermatologic conditions!

At Clarity Dermatology and Cosmetic Center, each patient will be personally evaluated and treated by Dr. Yuri Kim who is a board-certified dermatologist.
